The rate of change in PSA over time is termed PSA velocity (PSAV). At the advice of our esteemed Physician Board, we have decided to remove our PSA Velocity Calculator. At this time, the accuracy of this test as an indicator of prostate cancer risk is controversial.

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), a rapid rise in PSA velocity can be cause for concern and may require additional testing.

If you have any questions, contact your doctor or use MDLocator to find one in your area.
